At a training center, you will receive a challenging, realistic training program that helps you achieve your goal of becoming a health and safety training facility. Since 2008, WAM has partnered with customers dedicated to safety and provided trainees that can visit construction companies, manufacturing, the water industry, and petrochemical facilities. To ensure that their trainees will learn about the most relevant courses available in Melbourne and hire full-time staff for all trainees.

During the WAM training, everyone on a site can take a confined space course with full-time support. Section 21 is the Occupational Health & Safety Act of 2004 requires all employees to provide training, instructions, and administration to allow them to work safely. Besides this, the Australian Standard of AS 2865-2009 confined space course on the following requirements for training assessments:

  • All trainees will work in confined spaces, so they must be trained and assessed.
  • Each candidate is reevaluated at appropriate intervals to ensure they remain competent to perform the tasks associated with confined spaces.

What are the requirements for a course in a confined space?

The WAM training has a variety of courses, especially the confined space course, where you can start the course for $530 GST exempt with a duration of two days from the time 7:45 am – 4:00 pm. Trainees for the Confined Space Entry Course must have adequate English language skills to safely complete the confined space job tasks and be able to:

  • Accurately read and interpret confined space and risks assessments for entry, complete piping, and instrumentation diagrams.
  • A confined space operator should fill out some paperwork, such as the Safe Work Method Statement and the Entity Permit. 
  • Compare and contrast the results based on the gases, temperatures, pressures, levels of gas, and masses to see what actions are reserved.
  • Speaking English required to explain, verify, and describe any complex issues and needs.
